CVC Summary Audits Created for Publishers of Small Paid Weeklies
Circulation Verification Council now offers a new circulation audit for publishers of small paid weeklies. Paid weekly publications with circulations under 5,000 can purchase a CVC summary audit (see sample). CVC summaries offer the reliability and credibility of a traditional CVC audit with fewer added services at a reduced price. A CVC summary audit includes the same verified data as a traditional CVC audit, including:
- Average press run, distribution and net circulation, including breakouts by distribution type (home delivery, single copy, mail)
- Web site and digital edition visitors and page views
- Distribution by ZIP code and county
- Subscription list verification
- Single copy sales verification
CVC is able to offer these summary audits at a reduced rate because they do not include readership studies, maps and the expanded marketing services CVC provides with traditional audits.
"In the past, many small paid publications couldn't justify the expense of a traditional publication audit, and we're happy to offer these publishers a cost-effective solution," CVC President and CEO Tim Bingaman said. "The cost of a CVC summary audit is very affordable and is based on the publication’s circulation size."
CVC currently audits several small paid weekly publications, and these publications will see a price reduction should they apply for the summary audit instead of the traditional full-service audit.
Readership studies and maps can be added to a custom audit package for additional fees. Contact CVC for more information on CVC summary audits via e-mail or by calling 800-262-6392.
